Comprehensive Psychological Evaluations in Charlotte, NC

At Mind Mosaic Psychology, we provide services for children, adolescents, and adults, recognizing that learning, attention, emotional, and developmental needs can look different across the lifespan. Our evaluations and therapeutic services are tailored to the individual’s age, goals, and context.

Located in Charlotte, NC, our comprehensive psychological evaluations are designed to fully understand an individual’s strengths and needs across multiple domains of their life, including learning, attention, emotional functioning, behavior, executive functioning, and social functioning.

A comprehensive evaluation may include assessment of intellectual abilities, academic skills, attention and executive functioning, social-emotional development, and behavioral patterns. We use evidence-based, standardized measures and integrate multiple sources of information to develop a clear and accurate understanding of strengths and areas of need.

Each evaluation includes:

  • A detailed intake and history review

  • Individualized testing sessions

  • Comprehensive written report

  • Personalized recommendations for school, home, and therapeutic supports

  • Feedback meeting to review results and answer questions

Our goal is not just diagnosis, but clarity, understanding, and actionable guidance. Families and individuals leave with practical recommendations that support learning, emotional well-being, and long-term success.

Testing Process

What to Expect During the Evaluation Process

  • Initial interview

    60-90 MINUTES

    The psychologist meets with you/your child to gain critical backgound information. Depending on the age of a child, they may also participate in part of this initial interview process.

  • Face-to-face testing.

    2-4 HRS I 1-2 SESSIONS

    The psychologist administers a battery of standardized assessments designed to answer your questions. Depending on the referral question, cognitive (IQ), academic, and/ or social-emotional tests are administered.

  • School or home observation.

    (OPTIONAL)

    Behavioral observations outside of the clinic, especially in schools, provide a rich perspecive on your child's functioning in their real day-to-day environment. These observations often reveal what may be geting in the way of school success and inform school-based recommendations.

  • Report + feedback session.

    60-90 MINUTES

    The results of the assessment are finalized into a comprehensive report with recommendations for home, school/work, and treatment. The psychologist meets with you to clearly explain the takeaways.

  • Advocacy beyond the clinic.

    (OPTIONAL)

    Now that you have your/your child's needs identified and recommendations for how to serve them, you may want extra help securing these services and supports at school. We are passionate about bridging the gap between settings and can help you advocate beyond our clinic at IEPs, Regional Center, etc.

We accept your online inquiries 7 days a week and have specific office hours for in-person engagements. Outside of normal office hours you can receive immediate assistance at a local Urgent Care facility or, if necessary, please dial 911 for emergency services.
