  • Therapy is an ongoing process focused typically on specific goals while a consultation is typically a single appointment focused on a specific problem or question. You might book a consultation to have us review a confusing IEP , determine appropriate school fit, help problem-solve whether and how to seek support through school or access community resources, or schedule a follow-up conversation after an evaluation is completed.

  • Yes. You don't have to be enrolled in long-term therapy or have completed an evaluation with us to seek support. We provide the clarity you need to make the next big decision for yourself or your family.

If you aren't sure if your child is struggling with ADHD or just a developmental lag, a consultation allows us to review your history and give you an honest professional opinion on whether the time and investment of full testing are necessary.

  • For consultations (which are primarily discussion and document review), virtual sessions are highly effective. It allows us to screen-share IEP documents, review reports together in real-time, and accommodate busy parents, individuals, or professionals across North Carolina.
